Your emails can be traced from your email host, if anyone makes the efforts - legally.
Hard disk formatting will make it difficult, but data recovery programs can still retrive the data.
There are some programs available that make the retrival impossible - so they claim.

Not by normal people but if the police want, they can. The only way of stopping that is to roast the hard disk in a fire or crush it under a sledge hammer. But your emails are there at the other end (sender or receiver).

But of course ur emails can be traced coz they arestored on the server of the site u use and not on ur own computer

well. not until the FBI takes in into their hand...
after you all that.. its not very easy to get the data back.
its not impossible but not worth an effort for a cause such as email spam

any-body who knows how to "program" a computer OR work in DOS files can retrieve ANY information that has been put to your computer......it doesn`t actually !( Go Away) !................. ...scary , isn`t it?
