Salt and warm water helps a sore throat (Gargle, dont drink). I would think that coke would make it more raw...

Adding salt to coke will heal a running tummy, which is normally a result of acids in your stomach. The carbonate in Coca Cola reacts with the Sodium (NaCl = salt) to form a sodium bicarbonate/bicarbonate of soda which is an antacid!

Drinking too much salt is bad for you.

Gargling (not drinking) with warm salt water can sooth a sore throat.

What an odd mixture, but some people have told me it works. It probably will. My aunt even said it's better to pour the coke into a pan and let it boil before we drink it.

What it will do is remove the carbonation in the drink and leave you a non-acidic syrup. It will probably help it feel better because of the sweet syrup coating.
