Abiogensis is the beginning of life from inorganic matter. It is one of the prevailing theories of how life began on Earth. Look up Urey-Miller experiments to see how they succeeded in creating some organic molecules in the laboratory in an atmosphere similar to what was thought to exist on Earth 4.5 billion years ago.
Biogenesis proposes that life had to come from life, that perhaps it came to Earth from outer space. Or it was created and then developed into various forms etc

Talkorigins.org has good info on this.

Biogenesis is the process of lifeforms producing other lifeforms, e.g. a spider lays eggs, which develop into spiders.

The term is also used for the assertion that life can only be passed on by living things, in contrast to abiogenesis, which holds that life can arise from non-life under suitable circumstances, although these circumstances still remain unknown.
Abiogenesis (Greek a-bio-genesis, "non biological origins") is the formation of life from non-living matter. Today the term is primarily used to refer to the chemical origin of life, such as from a 'primordial soup' or in the vicinity of hydrothermal vents, and most probably through a number of intermediate steps, such as non-living but self-replicating molecules (biopoiesis). The current models of abiogenesis are still being scientifically tested.
