i need a place that sells light bulbs and i want a place that has a wide variety. i went to home depot and i was lookin for a specific light bulb my dad wanted and i couldnt find it. what other places are there? i live in southern cali

Target has a nice selection. But you may need to go to a lighting store.

a bit far to drive, but in Sunnyvale California there was ( and i think still is) a light bulb store. it was on El Camino , no surrtise. it was great.

Ace Hardware...any private hardware stores may have a better selection.
Target sells them too.
