In the movie I Am Legend, Will Smith was hiding in his own home. In the morning he would exercise, later he would go hunting, and then sit out on the brooklyn bridge broadcasting his signals for other survivors. Don't you think the infected would be watching him from inside the buildings, watching him walk home before the sun went down, before his day was over? That must have been the most creepy feeling in the world knowing that you're being watched by infected crazy humans. I couldn't imainge being in his shoes.

He was VERY careful not to lead them to his house. He went home before dark, before they came out. That stuff he was pouring on the steps? It was ammonia, to wipe out his scent. I think that the zombies only lived in places where it was REALLY dark and where there was room for a lot of them to be together -- they weren't in EVERY house. They couldn't always watch him.

1. The dog needed to die so Smith's character could develop further. Tragedy develops character. 2. Legends don't have to be alone. 3. It's based off of the book. He isn't the last man on earth. Where would the story go when he dies? 4. Since the cure takes many hours to take effect, that would be useless. 5. Everything did go back to normal. 6. Again, tragedy develops his character. 7. That probably happened.

Dude that s a REALLY good question... I guess its one of the goofs about the movie! He should have been long dead.. I mean the movie does not even try to explain how they were infected.. what sort of company spread the virus or how did these infected humans achieve this incredible strength... These are just bunch of spoofs that the producers and the director didn't spend too much time on.. Just let go man or it'll drive you insane!! Don't make a habit out of trying to rationalize movies cause that aint gonna work!!

I saw that movie too and what bothers me is the latest trend of hero endings. Dangit i want my main character to survive! lol. Anyway, I didn't really think much about that aspect that you were talking about when i was watching it but yeah now that you mentioned it, that is kind of odd. And there was something else i didnt understand too but i cant remember what it was now.

They are infected. Their minds don't work very well.

Check out '28 days later' for a better movie, imo.

Because they only came out at night and he went home before dark that's why they didn't know where he lived.

They did know where he was, that's why he had all the hardware over his windows and doors.
