Can the qualifications/credentials of the philippines be used in Australia, or do you have to resit the training in Australia, eg registered nurse, airline manager etc

I'm no expert but a friend of mine from Philippians did this. She was a nurse in the Philippians. From what i know, you need to do what they call an upgrade in both Canada and Australia. Before that you need to do an English language test. The English test can be done in Phil, but the upgrade needs to be done in the country you move to.

take my advice lightly, I am only relaying what I heard, but I think it is accurate.
Good luck!

Generally, you will need to take some extension subjects to "complete" the courses based on the Australian curriculum. Thus, a nurse here will have to take some firther training and pre-qualification exams. These are mostly for these types of jobs.

However, some courses are professions are accepted per se, and it is the companies you are seeking employment in who exercise discretion. An accountant here could practice accountancy here, but if you are a CPA in the Philippines, you likewise need to be certified in Australia, which could mean further studies as well. Same with doctors.
