I hate to say this but I only hear that pretentious word used on dogs ie how to rectify a PROBLEM.

Behavior Analysis
What Is It?

"Men act upon the world, and change it, and are changed in turn by the consequences of their action."

This opening line to the book Verbal Behavior is behavior analysis in a nutshell. In the simplest terms, this is what behavior analysis is all about. People do things that create changes in their environment. Those changes then bring about changes in the people who caused them.

What are those changes? How can they be observed? What is the relationship between consequences and actions? How can we use these processes to make the world a better place for everyone?

These and many other questions are what the science of human behavior is devoted to answering.

As a science, Behavior Analysis is a branch of psychology. It is studied in colleges and universities all over the world. There are several academic journals dedicated to dispensing the knowledge gained through the scientific study of behavior.

As a practice, Behavior Analysis is an approach to human behavior that has given rise to many effective therapies, educational systems and strategies to prevent behavioral problems. But can Behavior Analysis help you if you are not a college student or a kid with a behavior disorder?

If you are talking about destructive or addictive behavior, then first you have to admit you're doing something wrong or damaging. Then, you have to talk to someone you trust and let them know what you're going through. If they can't help, seek professional help or a support group. But don't try to go through a difficult situation all by yourself--it almost always never works.

If I am wrong, I say I am wrong, and If I am right I don't need to rectify my behavior.

Start a new behaviour which is meant to overwrite the old one. Keep repeating it over and over again. For example, if you are a compulsive eater, everytime you come across food, you can read, use the computer or go shopping. When you keep repeating these new habits, eventually they will replace your old behaviour. Of course, this takes lots of willpower and you need to constantly remind yourself that your goal is to wipe out your undesired behaviour.

Behavior Analysis... if you have looked at the behavioral literature, then you would probably already know that it is used in many capacities in life. For example, reducing gun play in children, stop smoking, increasing athletes' performances, etc...

You can sit on it?
That or change your habits. It takes about three weeks to gain a habit, or lose a habit. Behaviour is a list of habits we have so whatever bad habits you carry? Replace them with a new and different one that will be a benefit to you. In three weeks time your behaviour is changed.
