We have a 6 year old and two 1 year olds. Should we buy a house or an apartment? We live in Sydney's eastern suburbs and our budget is A$1.05 million and would like 3 or more bedrooms.

With children, I would chose to buy a house. I have a little one myself and believe me, you need to park right up the front door to get them and the shopping into the house with much problem. Also, think about the garden toys you might want to buy for them such as bikes and stuff. If you live in an apartment, it would be a real problem to store them.

Sounds as though you could well afford a house. If you are planning to stay put for a few years, buy one.
