Just wanted to know if it would work , if not , how could you get dead pixels fixed without giving the product back to the manafacturer.

Try pressing lightly on the actual dead pixel ... sometimes it's a dry joint in the transistor and by applying a little pressure it "moves" and reconnects ... not too hard now ... but be firm (Fingers crossed)

Dead pixels are normally defects in the panel. So replacing the panel will remove the old dead pixels with the old panel. It may introduce new ones if the new panel is not perfect.

Is this a new LCD? Call up the manufacturer and ask them what their dead pixel policy is.

Typically it is a maximum number of dark sub-pixels, a smaller maximum of bright sub-pixels. A limit on how close dead sub-pixels can be to each other.
