Is there any inside-info ? (lol)

Lawson said go for 4 fast bowlers.
Steve Waugh wants Hogg to play in boxing day test match.
McGrath said 4 fast bowlers.
Ponting is supporting Tait.

What's going on? Only Australians can answer this.
Who will play? & who should play ?
Hogg or Tait

I am expecting a four men pace army attack at us,lol

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Indians!!!!!
I try to look at this 4 men pace attack positively. If we can handle their four best fast bowlers in first test, then that will give our team a huge morale boost.
Usually the biggest fear in the minds of touring batsmen in a down under tour is the fast bowlers of Australian team.
If we can put up a good show in first test against 4 fast bowlers, then that fear will just vanish.
Yes, it would be tough to handle 4 of their best fast bowlers in conditions suitable for fast bowling.
It's a huge challenge & i think that will test the character of our team. That's good.
Bring it on!
mate they will go with Hogg just because Melbourne's pitch will be considerably flat and the Aussies will want the variety of a spinner in the team,3 quickies and a spinner plus medium pace of symonds will give the team a better balance.
Both Tait & Hogg are in the 12 man team, but I doubt we will know who's actually playing till the day of the match.They like to keep all their options open.
Edit; How can Montitude comment on his own question? Is this ethical?
If it is Perth 4 pacers is right.
If it is Sydney a spinner is essential.
Melbourne is is some where in between.
I think Steve Waugh could be right.But if they approach it as a mind game they will pick 4 pacers.
As you said an Aussie will have better insight.
If Shun Tair is fit, he should play.
india have 4 batsmen who have played in all countries and in different situation and as such they should fully utilise their experience in handling the pace attack of Australia. If they succeed to do so, they can put Australia under pressure and once they are put under pressure, India can come on top.
The pitch will have a slight tinge of green to it, it will be a Melbourne pitch of the early 80's, more bounce and pace than in the last few years.
