If a wife regardless of her job has no say then she has no respect. The husband may say he respects her but actions speak louder than words.
You work. You work hard. But you all wives should have a say in what goes on in the household or the family finances. The husband if he is a good husband would first think about what the wife has to say and then make a decision. If he just makes decisions and then informs the wife it is not taking her wisdom into account. I see many many men like this and it makes me sick.

You do have a say in what goes on. You have let him tell you that you do not. We each have a role in a marriage and if the two of you have decided that yours is to be a homemaker that is what you are. You are still the other half of the partnership and you are just as important as he is. Marriage is not a dictatorship and you are not property. Stand up for yourself girl.

It probably has more to do with the man you are married to than you being a homemaker. You have every right to have a say. Just because you work in the home does not mean you don't contribute!

I don't know what you mean. I have a word in everything! He asks me before he does anything, particularly with money, because I manage everything and he wants to know how we're doing on bills before he spends it. He doesn't mind the porcelain dolls in the living room and I don't mind those tools on my formal dining table. It's called compromising. If your husband throws him working for all the money in your face, then he doesn't appreciate you. It's that simple. What is your situation really? I could give you better advice that way.

im a housewife no kids but i have a word in what goes on shoot if it wasnt for me bills wouldnt get paid in time and the house would never be clean no dinner ect.

I don't think it is a question of your job title or position in life. I think it is a question of what kind of person is your partner. Maybe it is time for family counseling.

2. You decide when to clean
3. You decide when to cook
4. You decide what to cook
5. You decide what programme you want to watch on TV
6. You decide which mall you want to go to
