No I do not agree with you. It is for the Courts to interpret the Act and to decide what is de minimis non curat lex or not. The purpose of the act is not to punish 14 year olds kissing but to get the maximum punishment and prosecution for all the sick rapists, molesters and pedophiles in our country. At least now when a man rapes another man or a little boy it will be rape and not only be indecent assault, the same when a woman gets sodomised. What is worse to be raped or to be sodomised? I believe and trust that this new Act will bring the necessary change that our legal system needs. Believe me there is a definite need for this Act. There has been to many loopholes in our Sexual Offences acts in the past and too many criminals getting away with legal technicalities. We do have a problem with rape, sodomy and incest in this country.

How are they ever going to Police it? They should rather focus on the number of under 16 teenage girls who fall pregnant and charge the Father with Statutory Rape.

If South African teenagers were worth anything, they'd have a nation-wide "kiss-a-thon" and dare the government to try and do something about it. But then again, being South Africa, I suppose we are quite used to doing whatever we have to (or whatever we want to) in the dark while common-sense principles are being trampled upon by irrelevant politicians...

quickly and simply it needs dousing with petrol and got rid of,its the kindest thing that can be done for such a wretched twisted mongoloid beast
