Yes and she is justifiably very proud of it. She's given a lot of her love of her beautiful heritage to the world in the songs she sings and the films she performs in. She also is active in politics keeping in line with another great American Jewish tradition (progressive causes and civil rights) that Jews have enriched the United States with.
