I found a life size doll of a naked man in the tub, tied with a necktie to the water tap.
It was so gross, that we checked out on the same day. And never would I checked myself into a motel anymore *shivers*

I remember when I was like 10 (30 now), I stayed in a hotel room with my dad and my 2 brothers. I don't know why, but I decided to look under the bed. I found some lady's bra!! I know its not a big deal, but at the time, it freaked me out. lol I was too embarassed to tell anyone, so I just left it under the bed and didn't mention it to anyone. I totally forgot about that one. That was such a good weekend away with my family. Thanks for the memory. Booya!!

I was forced to stay in a sleazy motel in a small town because of car problems once. It was the only motel in town.
The curtains were made from old bath towels and there was a flyswatter on a 15' chain.

No, but recenlty I read about people finding dead bodies that were hidden under the mattresses after complaining to the staff about a terrible inexplicable odor. Now whenever I go to a hotel I'll be checking under the mattress first thing!!!

I used to clean motel rooms. Perhaps I've had undue exposure to the weirdnesses that lie therein.
A list of things I found in my tour of duty:
-body
-used condoms
-an empty warehouse sized box of Wagon Wheel cookies and 48 affiliated wrappers, in the bed
-rope
-a giant water bong
-various unflushed toilets
-gun
-unsnorted coke laying in neat lines on top of the TV
Something I rarely found:
-tips

I found a dead dog. Poor thing had been left by it's owners and died of malnutrition. It had chewed anything it could find, and had tried to claw its way out of the room. Mind you it was a chihuahua. And had obviously been neglected way before being dumped there.
The room also had a dirty nappy and a preserved fish in a bottle. Both were in the bathroom. There are some strange people out there. Inhumane, and cruel.

dog poo and dog food as well as some twisties nder the bed and the bathroom was never used due to the fact there was mold (like really bad mold it covered the bottom of the shower) and a lipgloss and some hair, and a pack a cigartettes and a CD and a balloon (or was it something else :D)

Years ago, I found a cassette in a motel room. When I put it in my car stereo, it was the narration for a chess game.

An ace of spades card on top of the bible in the drawer of the night stand. Not really weird, but it's the only thing I could think of.

Amsterdam ... They had pamphlets and maps on EVERY sex show, sex shop, every red light district, and even pricing .... Not to mention free condoms. Amazingly this was a 5 star hotel too
