He's a nice guy and everything, but I was pretty shocked when he told me this

I'm guessing based on your comment, you haven't explored the possibility of a future with him yet. Now is the time to explore that. If you don't see a future with him, why waste your time and his time? Is having a family something that you want eventually? Can you see yourself married and having children with him one day? If you so, CONGRATULATIONS! He sounds like a keeper! Obviously he loves you and wants to spend the rest of his life with you!

Best wishes!

There would be No marriage proposal in that statement.
The real question is: Will he be around when and if you do?
It sounds like one of these days i want a puupy.

Either he really means it or he wants you to think he means it and think he's all sweet so you'll let him in your pants. Guys (can't say all guys) will say anything they think a girl wants to hear to get into her pants.

That's pretty straight forward, isn't it? It means he wants you to have a baby and it be his. Hopefully he wants you to be his wife first, but you never know. I think this is a compliment.

How old are you?

This one is a no-brainer. Do you really not know what he means? If not, instead of looking at the words individually, put them together so that the words relate to one another as a sentence.

Maybe he lusts for u. It is better to clarify 'who pays for the baby and the expenses?' Babies are not cheap these days, and the medical and daily expenses could be quite high.

Sounds like he is thinking of you long term, while you are thinking that the relationship might last the school year, if you are lucky.

'one of these days' means some day, probably not today
'I want you to be the mother of my kids' - I am not really sure about this part, seems so vague, maybe you shoudl google it and see what comes up

It means exactly what it sounds like. He wants you to be the mother of his kids.
