Why is it that people ask for help with songs and lyrics, but they give such LAME descriptions and give little to no information??? Do they think we are mind readers????

They are young, don't understand what they are listening to, are trying to be "cool", or actually or clueless. Come on, wasn't there a time when you were musically daft? LOL..I was..OH MY! I shall not even tell you of those days..I blush to think!

Or what was that song played on such and such commercial, like we're supposed to know every song ever played in a commercial.
Hey it's called market area. If you don't live in a certain market area you aren't even going to hear the blasted song, as if it really matters anyway.
And such and such was played at this club I went to last week with my b/f or g/f/. They have a mouth why not ask the DJ who played the song.
I've even called radio stations asking about certain songs with a lot of success going that route.

hahah we were just on the Bad Company question together!
I think people just know SO little about music and how to research it that they just figure they'll get someone else to do it...
They also don't pay attention to actual music or bands and just like "pretty songs" or "cool songs" and so don't know the first thing about finding information about them.
But that's not everyone. Some people give really good descriptions and they say that they have tried to find it, which is the whole point of Y! answers.

Yeah, like "All I remember is that it had a girl who loved two guys in it, and I really liked it". Give the genre and the year it probably came out at least. They act like songs haven't been around forever and that there isn't more than one that has the same theme to it.

LOL. I know what you mean. I've seen more than a few people asking about a song, then their only description was like " dum dumm de dumm dumm". WTF?????
