The nicotine in the cigarettes is what interacts with the hormones in the pill to cause blood clots and other not-so-fun medical conditions. Pot should be relatively safe, but I'm really not sure about that one, or about alcohol.

Wow, now that's a great question. 1st off, Pot lowers pregnancy rates as it lessens certain bodily chemicals that create a viable environment for the entire process to take place..thus, I remember this in Infertile couples ..the Q & A for Infertile couples who are trying..so, lol...IF children are not in your {1YEAR NEAR FUTURE?} future..to be certainly on the safe side...smoke more Mota? wow. My Bad here, huh? Kinda killing 2 birds with one stone as far as I'm concerned. If you wish to not have and children for up to a year and it IS much safer, has some incredible advantages..try Depo Provera...No more periods while on it~ you only have to have one(1) painless stick in the hips {fatty tissue} 3 times a year and have to remember nothing more, like everyday pills..etc. I LOVE IT!! The advantages of it far outweigh the evils than any other I have found..Good luck..and you can safely do as you please with no side effects..your Dr. will and should use any motive to cease cigarette use..but then, again that IS YOUR CHOICE and there actually are clean/non-chemical Cigarettes out there..my best to you and happy happy happy christmas to Youuuu~~~

Smoking pot is just as harmful. The harmful effects of smoking anything are partly due to the chemicals in the substance, but mostly due to the harmful effects of smoke in the lungs.

Smoke displaces oxygen with carbon monoxide so your lungs do not provide enough oxygen to the blood. Low oxygen blood does not nourish the tissues of the body, and the body will respond by increasing blood pressure and increasing red blood cell density to compensate. The increased blood pressure and red blood cells leads to heart attack and stroke.

Smoke also directly damages the lung tissue, leading to lung cancer and long term breathing problems.

If you are addicted to nicotine, pot will not be a substitute. Get your nicotine from chewing tobacco, snuff, nicotine patch or nicotine gum instead of from cigarettes. Although nicotine is itself somewhat harmful, it is not as bad as the smoke from cigarettes or pot. If you want to get the high from pot, consume it in brownies or tea, don't smoke it.

I think it's the nicotine, if I remember, that messes with the pill, not the smoke itself.

THC coats your brain with THC preventing stroke and tumors.

and by far, weed is better than cigs and alchohol unless you're a addictive person.

Its mostly the thousands of toxins you're putting in your system. Pot is just THC.
