Not a single person has stayed together with the exception of Trista and Ryan (I think that is their names, and I am not even sure if they're still together), yet they still continue to produce them and the audience still watches them.
I watched Rock of Love because I found it entertaining.. and I was actually going to ask on here if anyone knew if Bret and Jess were still together until I saw an ad for Rock of Love 2!
These aren't 'reality' shows, they're just shows they don't have to pay writers and actors for.

Yep! I agree! These shows are all for publicity seeking wanabees who want their 15 minutes of fame. As long as the networks keep investing money and time into these shows, they will keep being produced and put on the air. Jess just wanted publicity for her real boyfriend's clothing line, she was never into Brett Michaels or really knew who he was! These shows are all fake! Trista and Ryan are still together and just had a baby boy a few months ago. They are a rare exception.

They are no longer together, that happened before the show aired. Reality shows will be popular than ever now that there is a writers strike. Just think, it all started in the 60's with a little show called "The Dating Game"

My hope is that things will turn around and these kind of shows will just fade away. Kind of like disco did in the 70s. They have become a joke and I feel sorry for the people that are on the programs.

Mostly, I feel sorry for the young adults that watch the shows and think that's what relationship are about. As if our culture wasn't screwed up enough, now we've got a generation that see's relationships as a joke and just fun and games....ho's and idiots and attention seekers.

Actually, this sounds pretty close to reality because people break-up and get divorced all the time. They also think they're totally in love and then realize they're idiots.

Pretty much reality... :/
