Hello
I am 19 years old and i think i need a breast reduction. I am pretty slender (5'7'' and 125 lbs) and am currently naturally loosing some weight. I also have this huge problem ( no pun intended) My boobs are way to big for my body. I would be a 32 D if such a size existed, which it doesn't which makes it impossible to find a bra that fits my back and cup size. I also am an extremely active person in which case large breasts are not helpful with. All sports bras slip right up my back and up and over my boobs so they dont even work at all. I also notice that the do not seem as perky as they should be at my age. I am contemplating surgery and dont know if its silly to think of it. Is it irrational to want to augment my breasts. I know most augmentations are for women with DD-F cupbrasts but for my small body thats what i feel like i have! I also often have neck and back pain. With a flat chest i would be boyishly shaped and not very muscular. This is a huge problem for me..HELP!

First thing in my mind is "Cost" and next "do you know a good surgeon to do the job?"

I don't htink there's anything immoral or unnatural about wanting breasts that fit your body. I lived with two women (Not at the same time) who had overly large breasts and they were a pain for them for much the same reasons you mention.

I thought reduciton was a good idea then and I still do now. But if you do go with reduction, be sure to check out the doctor(s) VERY carefully. Get lists of women who've had their operation, call them and ask then what they think BEFORE you make your decision.

P.S. As a guy, I love "perky boobs" so don't loose too much - just enough to be comfortable and healthy.

Good Luck!

If YOU think you do, that is the ONLY opinion that matters.

It is totally worth it. I had it done Feb 2006 and don't regret it one bit!

You don't want to AUGMENT your breasts, you want to REDUCE them... And augmentation is for smaller breasted women who want to be bigger.

FYI there is such a thing as a D cup, I was a 38J cup (and there are bigger!) and I went down to a 38C.

Oh, as for wombat's answer, the scars are BARELY noticeable. You need to have a good doctor, and you need to be a good patient. As well as using mederma and scarguard on your incisions.

You are NOT being silly!

You're taller than my best friend, from high school, who is 4' 11", but we spent many, many hours trying to find 32 E/F bras -- yes they are made, but you have to go to really high end, expensive shops to find them. (Try online, you probably can find them here, too.)

Anyway, my friend was in pain from around age 15 until two of her vertebrae cracked at age 30. THEN the insurance company paid for her breast reduction surgery. She was very, very thrilled to be a lovely C-Cup for my wedding and fit beautifully into the dress.

Just keep stressing how much pain you are in so that it is necessary, not cosmetic, surgery. (Paying for it out of pocket is not cheap, but better than cracked vertebrae.) Don't wait until your back problems get really bad, potentially leaving you with a life time of pain and disability.

Best of luck!

Oh God, all my masculine DNA and eons of evolutionary tinkering are telling me to tell you - NOOOOOOOOOOOO, don't do it...... But I also have a brain. whew

I would consult several physicians in order to find out whether or not reduction is warranted, if it would be helpful to you, what the risks - both short term and long term - may be (which seems the most important concern), and what the short and long term risks are if you don't have the surgery. Again, I'd get several different medical opinions before making a decision. I hope you do what is right for you and that you don't ulitmately regret what you decided to do.

Breat reduction doesn't mean that they take it all away. They just make them smaller.

You might want to consult a doctor about this one, to evaluate the risks/rewards of such an intervention. The back pain, to me, is the biggest problem you're facing, so consulting's the right thing to do.

Yes! You're going to start having worse back, neck, and shoulder problems. And a reduction doesn't have to be down to flat; they can make them whatever size you want. For your size, a 32 B or maybe a small C would look totally natural.

I pictured your dimensions and I thought WoW. And thought again. Whoa her breast are awkward on her body and they probably hurt. What sounds or looks great in imagination ain't always practical or safe to health. You should get that reduction but keep in mind that the rest of your body is still growing and developing.I hope your outcome is successful for you and health.

NO! reductions also have ugly scars. When people are paying heaps of cash to make them bigger your going to reduce them? I understand they are not as perky, but the scars you'll get from reduction are just as unsightly as them being a bit "unfirm". You are going to have to invest good money in buying good bras in proper lingerie stores, or have them custom made, forget Kmart and cheapoes, they just deal with regular sizes. Cherish your boobs! I'm sure any guys on here will answer NOOOOOOOOOOO
By the way augment means to make bigger...
