It may be a fatal error that is causing the computer to restart. You can easily stop the restart problem by changing your system
features to restrict automatic startup when your computer's having a problem. Here is how:

Use System Failure Settings to Stop Automatic Restarts.

1. Click Start and Open the Control Panel
2. Go to System and Maintenance, Click on System.
3. Select Advanced System Settings and choose Advance tab.
4. Under Startup and Recovery, click on Settings.
5. Under System failure uncheck Automatically restart.

It may like others said be the cpu overheating. Most all boards have automatic shuttdown setup to prevent the cpu from being destroyed. Take a look at your board and see if there is alot of dust build up. Mainly look at the top of the cpu, fan and, the heat deflector that sits on the cpu. I always use a vacuum cleaner but be very cautious not to damage anything. Also do not handle the board without discharging any static electricity by touching the case. It could be the virus to but I would start with cleaning the computer since it probably needs it anyways. Proceed at your own risk and be very careful not to mishandle the board and internal parts because it can cause your computer not to work.

it may be a virus, but it may also be that the cpu setting is set too high on your computer. try running the comp in safe mode and run a virus scan.
