If she has only had good men in her life, it may have been strange to her to hear someone lump all men together.
But it does not mean you are a bad person.
You are simply one that has had bad experiences with a man or men and will have to learn to trust the good ones again. Many abused women suffer through this same mindset, not knowing which men can be trusted.
