Everyone at work says they are good food but you can get leprosy.

I've heard that armadillos are carriers of leprosy, but I don't know about eating them. That kinda sounds gross to me.

I know they can carry Hansen's Disease, (leprosy) but I would think that cooking it well done would take care of that, same as trichonosis in pork or bear meat.

Why don't you post this in the Armadillo, Texas section and ask them.

They have lots of Armadillos and lots of lepers:)

Y^ou get only get it from eating a leper.
