Agent/Acting Question?

Please answer! I have taken continuous classes and done a lot of school plays to build up my resume, and I feel like I am extremely ready to sign with an agent.
I sent out my headshots/resumes, but I did not get the results I wanted. I posted my headshot/resume up on LA casting.
My best friend told me that she was in a showcase, and that's how she landed an elite agency to represent her when she had nothing on her resume.
I have been looking online and I can't find any showcases in the Los Angeles area!
Please, can you help me find one?
I'LL DO ANYTHING.
I already know about: Talent to Go and Cricket Feet.
Also, I don't care if I have to take a class to be in the showcase.

1. school plays don't really impress agents
2. what elite agency is your friend signed with, how long has she been signed and how many professional jobs has she got through them? I am skeptical about his agent.
3. showcases that just anyone can sign up for by paying a fee are a scam, one out of every few million get noticed by someone who can help them.
4. just about everything on the web is a scam; there are a few sites that are good for professinals, which you are not.
5. if you want help with your career and are ready to work long and hard at it, read my profile and write to me at my aol address.

Agents generally look for people making $$$ and working in the business.

Agents also look for union members or those who are union eligable.

i know dumb peope that do acting for fame and forutune but u should do it because you love it_ take it from me if you want a good clean resume take theater more and see if you like it
