I can't believe Jamie Lynn is pregnant and its ok! I think her show should be stripped from all TV networks! At least Britney waited a couple years to turn into a whore...(Ok thats harsh..) She knows how much of a role model she is to young girls. Her TV show is aimed for young kids and she wants to get pregnant for a guy (Her 19 year old boyfriend) who should be in jail? And her mom is like its ok? I can't believe it! I'm 16 and my mom would be distraut is something like that happened to me! One word: Protection!!! What do you guys think of this? What kind of effect do you think it will have on kids that watch her and love her? What if your daughter (If you don't have one just assume the position of a mother/father) was in such a situation?

My god, I am at a young age, but im not that dumb. If she stars in some Nick show she should be able to be a role model, and now shes pregnant at 16. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE WORLD. Look at Hilary Duff, shes a good model, and like That Hannah Montana person.. I thought Jamie Lynn was a good role model for young girls, but i guess thats not going to happen!

Jamie Lynn Spears mother is not a good role model.
She pushed Britney into showbiz at a young age,and now it's widely reported that her mother also has an addiction to painkillers and alcohol.
I guess Jamie Lynn Spears can kiss her career goodbye.

i know have seen people get pregnant at a younger age. its only a big deal because she is a star in the spot light. my aunt got pregnant at 16 but my grandma was fine with it. the kid got put up for adoption and now has a great home. ur making a big deal out of a small matter. i hear stories about 13 year old girls getting pregnant
EDIT: and just another note. kids dont look up to those celebrities. i remember when i was a litle kid. i looked at all the high schoolers and thought "someday i want to be just like them" i looked at my sister and i knew she was my role model. in fact i just wrote an entire paper on role models and my sister is my biggest role model. role models arent celebrities and sports stars. most kids look up to their parents, their siblings, and a lot of times kids in higher grade levels than them

It is scary for young kids today with these so called "role models" it is nothing like when I grew up having a baby at 16 was the furthest thing on my mind!

Both situations are just sad
Both are role models to young adults and now they blow it all by either being xxxx rated or getting prego as a teen
So many girls look up to them and now, they get such a shock
It is like athletes and they mess up like Michael Vick
How can some child now think he is cool for fighting dogs
Vanessa and Jamie are just trashy

the media is getting worse and worse. it's sad that these kids are being exploited...but, i think fame comes hand in hand with immense responsibility. it's a job all in itself. vanessa and jamie lynn are young--they're expected to make mistakes...and i'm sure hovering cameras aren't doing anything to help. however, they're role models with/without a choice. they need to realize that they've sacrificed a lot for the celeb life & dirty laundry is just one of them.
i also think that although they do influence our kids to some small degree.....parents still play the largest role in shaping their child's life. instead of blaming these teens for what our kids might potentially do, parents need to hold themselves accountable for their childrens' poor decisions. if you're not happy with these kids' actions, then don't expose your children to it.

I am 13 and i think that ppl should model them selves after who they are
we don't need a million clones we need just one self that is true and if you are like britney spears you are but don't model your self after her.
no i do have an idol but not on how to be i idolize him because he is an awsome songwriter and singer
and although i don't sing i want to be a songwriter so it's more of a choice.
but when you have young girls getting pregnant because they saw it on TV: then that is just wrong and should be looked down upon.

everybody makes mistakes,
but her mom should be a better parent and what kind of parent would let a 19 year old guy live w/ a 16 year old, i think her mom was kinda asking for it.
that family is nuthin but $luts and hos, they want attention.
I just hope she fixes this early b4 she ends up like britney.

You shouldn't have to look up to celebrities for role models, your role models should be your parents or something along those lines.......If you don't look up to them, then they obviously aren't doing their jobs as parents.
