That life in the pork business. A little bacon fat is never enough. Just the smell of cooking pork brings in the neighbors for a little. It is a damn shame but it is the crap they do to get money flowing. If I give your mother a new house will you come and build me a small city. They do it every time and if you hold out the special interest groups that got you elected will put your feet in the fire till you cry uncle and vote their way.

No I do not see a conflict of interest. The truth is the odds of seeing an anthrax attack of that magnitude is infintesimal at best. And the flu vaccine is manufactured currently in line with the population. Remember though the flu vaccine must be made fresh each year as it loses potency over time. If we spent money on every concievable danger we would have no money for anything else.

No. Billions of federal revenues have been allocated and distributed to various state and local agencies for the purpose of preparing for terrorist actions, including biological and chemical weapons usage. The Trust does not comment on what happened to those funds.
Allocation of funds to carry out operation in Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom are part and parcel of the national defense authorization. A proper function of the Federal government and one which is enumerated in both Articles One and Two of the Constitution.
