I am happy to see that so many of you are picking the right answer. I had to make sure I wasn't the only one who knew what to do when an emergency vehicle has its lights & sirens going. Last night I saw 5 cars that did not stop and almost caused an accident. I saw one driver look in the direction of the cop car flying down the street w/ its sirens & lights on and they still tried to make their green light. The cop car almost hit that car. So I had to ask do people know what to do.

of course it is c.... i hate the morons who see it coming, have seen it coming, and are in the fast lane on the interstate, and when it gets up behind them, they slam on their brakes thinking the ambulance will go around them.... i have had this happen to me everytime i have driven with lights and sirens....

the driving manual/highway code does say that we obay the orders given by a person of authority (police/ traffic wardens), perhaps the guy that got caught on camera the photo may have showed that there was traffic coming through and therefore dangerous (as the guy you mentioned with the bus), the driver may have been flustered because of the sirens, therefore dangerous. a blue flashing light means someone is in danger and every second counts sometimes life or death,(how are we to know). i would be tempted to move passed the white line to allow the emergency vehicle through ONLY if it was safe, if not safe then you must not go and within your rights otherwise the police will be dealing with another accident, common sence to the given situation.

if its behind you you pull to the right and slow down... if its coming at you you do the same... if its on a four lane or divided highway just watch and see where its going... if at a intersection then stop.... you dont have to stop just pull over and let them pass the fastest way.... for them to get by is for you not to stop just pull over if they are on the other side of the street going the other way then really you only need to be out of their way if there is other cars in the way best thing is to think..... if its a divided street and they are on the other side going why would you stop unless they are turning

Pull to the right or left and let it pass. Yah there are abusive people/ officials but you'll never know whether there is an real emergency or not. Besides, pulling to the side will only takes a few seconds, no harm or foul, let them pass.

Pull to the right and come to a complete stop! Although I've noticed that most people just slam on their brakes or just ignore it alltogether!
