chlorophyll contains photosystems which when light falls excite its electrons.energy is removed from these electrons and passed on to cycles until starch is made

Chlorophyll is found in the chloroplasts, it serves to turn light energy into chemical energy which the plant can use, in the form of glucose. Photosynthesis! Yay!
