a million. i'm guessing that it is incomplete seperation of the replicated strands. uncertain. 2. men have 2 intercourse chromosomes X and Y ( = XY). women have basically X and X. (= XX) the mum will continually donate an X to the youngster. the youngster's different intercourse chromosome comes from the daddy. If the youngster inherits the daddy's X chromosome, the youngster might have X (from mom) and X (from father) = XX = female. If the youngster inherits teh father's Y chromosome, the youngster with have and X (from mom) and a Y (from father) = XY = male.
