personally i think it's okay because you can use the saving to buy something else. more bang for your buck.

is that it's the thought that counts
i remember when my mom bought me this doll
when i whas little at whas on sale i still loved it so much
that i still have it

Nope. There's a reason for Christmas sales and as long as it was an honest sale not a flaw in the product, I say screw it. A toy will be the same whether it costs $20 or $10.

No, I don't. It would be bad if the sole reason for buying is discount. If it is a good quality gift the the receiver can enjoy, you should be happy for your saving.
The price should not dictate the giving.
