Without knowing what the issue is, I'll assume something is not working like it did before. Even if your restore point is before the problem began, it may not fix it.
To check and restore operating system files, follow these steps.
Click START, RUN
In the text box type
SFC /SCANNOW
Click OK.
This is the built in system file checker utility and it will repair or replace any missing or corrupted system files. It may ask for the Installation CD so I hope you have it.
Repost with more details of your issue if this doesn't fix the problem.

I think that your restore point is too nearer to current date.try to resore more earlier point.

go to safe mode. download, install , run anti-virus sw from www.superantispyware.com . after cleaning, reboot into normal windows.
