It's a joke to begin with but all the people who follow the bugaboos of religious guilt will tell you that you are doomed and must beg for forgiveness. You aren't contacting jack so just play around and have fun and don't take it seriously.

shouldn't you be putting that question in the R&S section? and no, you don't go to hell for playing with a ouija board, but i can tell you, that you shouldn't mess with them. as in several other questions i've answered, I've told people of my mothers experience with one a long time ago.. when she contacted something she asked if it was male or female, and whatever it was spelled out "both".

The big "rif" that God has with oujia boards, is not so much about having fun with a board game but with using another means to tell the future (besides God). One of the references against it is in the bible, in Leviticus 19:31.
It's a follow up to the first commandment, have no other God beside me. That's one thing with Christianity, God is rather "sticky" on that point. The source of that future telling kind of information is supernatural. If you believe the word of God, there are only TWO sources of supernatural information, God and Satan, (the devil and his spirits). If you seek wisdom and guidance, then pray and ask God. If you're seeking guidence and wisdom by opening yourself up to just ANY spirit through moving a piece of plastic around a board, you don't know WHAT spirit you might invite. So, God's "problem" with it is A. entertaining another spiritual force besides HIM and, B. for your OWN GOOD don't do it cause you can potentially really mess yourself up. Generally, one instance of any kind of sin (which is what this oujia board thing is) will not send you to hell provided you acknowledge your mistake, ask forgiveness, and never do it again.

Playing a ouija board is not what sends you to hell. Being a sinner in general (which we all are) makes us all candidates for hell. BUT....God sent his Son to fix that for us, if we will only believe that He died for our sins! You will not go to hell if you truly accept Him into your life as your savior. When you do this, the slate will be wiped clean of your sins and your name will be written in heaven, in the Lamb's book of Life. Isn't that amazing?
Now about the Ouija board thing...I did this when I was about 15 and something really scary happened. When you try to communicate with evil spirits, you are allowing them into your life to a certain degree. This is not a joke. It's real. Please go to a church and ask to speak to a youth minister. Hopefully you or someone you know is involved in a church that you feel comfortable going to.
Do you know why you decided to play the ouija board? Were you looking for spiritual direction? If so, God can fulfill that desire if you let Him. He still speaks to His people...he did in the days of the Bible and He does now.
God Bless you, and make sure you go talk to a Christian person you know and ask them to pray for you.

Going to hell for using a oujia board? No, not unless you beat someone to death with it...and that is if you believe in hell in the first place.
A oujia board is just that, a board. It is the people using it that makes the difference. Take that however you want.

quite frankly, it depends on your religion. and in all honesty, no one on this site is God. sorry, honey. we can't determine your fate. only God will determine your fate. in most religions, it is viewed as bad, because you can summon demons or you could use it to predict the future (which is why horoscopes are not looked well upon).
if you're truly repentant, ask God for forgiveness and don't play it again.
ps- ouiji boards can summon demons, so seriously, be careful.

you only will if you worship the devil or kill someone. god understands the curiousity of those playing with ouijas, right?
Just always love god and pray to him, NEVER the devil! the devil is evil!!!!! always listen to god and the beautiful jesus christ!

Yeah I would not use it again and the repenting of it sounds like a good idea. And oh yeah too beat yourself up for making a mistake. God loves you and has better things for you than this.

in my belief, messing around with that kind of stuff can just open the doors for evil to come into your life. the spirit can't be around you when you are doing stuff like that. it's pretty much like destroying your only defenses.
but again, that's just what I believe.
