I checked the site where the profs post our final grades and for one of my classes it listed my grade as a MG, missing grade. I don't understand what that means. I took both of the exams, I took the quizzes and the final. I just emailed him asking him for an explanation. I'm so worried now, I don't get it. Unless I didn't put my name on the final or something? But i did do that, I even signed in on the sign up sheet. I'm so worried!!!!! Has this happened to anyone else? I don't even know what it means.

MG is an administrative note that simply means your professor isn't done grading yet. He'll hear about that and I'm sure he's working on it. MG doesn't go up until the grades are late.

It could also be that some secretary who is entering grades got overwhelmed and isn't done yet.

Don't panic - MG/NG/NA is not a bad sign for you -- just that someone is running behind.

breathe, relax, breathe again. ☺ good luck.

Your teacher probably just hasn't graded something yet. You did the right thing by contacting them and they'll probably get back to you. If you didn't put your name on your final, you can come in and identify your test and if your teacher lost it, then there is plenty of proof you took it if you signed the roster and there was a classroom full of people taking it with you.

That happened to me last year. Turned out the professor's deadline for entering grades was later than all the rest's. Eventually it showed up! Contact your advisor just to make sure.

It may mean that the professor hasn't gotten it posted yet. Just wait for him to respond, you'll be ok.
