Put the thing up and load it with as much symbolic ornaments dealing with Christ that you can......... if thats a concern. Dont sweat it. Its just a Christmas tree and as long as you know what the meaning of the day is.......... trust me He knows and I guarantee its not a pergatory offense. Happy holidays.

What 'bible' are you looking at? A Christmas tree is not an idol. It's not evil. It's the same as shooting fireworks on the 4th of July, or a bunny at Easter, a shamrock on St. Patrick's Day, or a ghost at Halloween.
I don't think there's an 11th commandment forbidding decorating trees in December. As a matter of fact, Christmas was not created in Biblical times, so it couldn't be forbidden in the Christian Bible.

I have always thought that was what Christmas trees were for.
