NO WAY. for there to be a world war the entire world must be affected. And there isn't gonna be a Crusades VS. Jihads. But there might be Jihads on a small scale since the government isn't stable in the middle east. And a holocaust against Christians? Dude. Like 44% of the world is Christian. That's the majority. So no, I don't think were on the verge of World War 3.

The geographic region must never stablize into an Arab Republic because of the amount of petroleum resources that exist within the region and because the geographic region is the "Heartland" of Eurasia. I truly believe that a major escalating warfare within the Middle East is highly probable.
Ultimately, I do not think the next big war will occur unless or until the Dome of the Rock is destroyed, and Solomons Temple is Rebuilt.

Barbie, I think we have been fighting a World War with Islamic Terrorists for about 20 years. That is what is needed, to combine the people that Al Qaeda has hurt into a united front for the worldwide annihilation of terrorism. The only answer is to take the violence to them, and kill as many of them as we can. Al Qaeda is killing people in both Russia, Europe and the US. A united force of these armies would be invincible.

I think so. With Russia sending neuclear fuel to Iran, it is only a matter of time, 2 years?, that Israel will need to do a preemtive strike. What would it take on our soil to freak us out again? I think just three well timed terrorist attacks: New York, L.A., Washington D.C. to draw us in again.
The next four years scare me. I also think Hilary will steal the elections, and you know how Muslims view women. They could take this oppurtunity to launch a battle.
Isn't it funny how the people don't want a war, but governments seem hell bent on doing it?

Sadly I have to say yes. The war is going to be over oil as the world supply runs out. As Russia, India and China become world economic powers able to challenge the US, nukes will fly eventually. That is why we need an good strong leader in the White House over the next four years. There really are people out there who want to hurt us. Vote wisely in 2008.

Yea, theres too many ppl in the world and big business would greatly benefit from it in long run. As long as ignorance votes in little dictators like G Bush who does as he wants and dams all else the odds really favor a war. What better time to do it than now when we have no troops here to protect out homeland?

We always kind of have been. Just as it was with the cold war. From what I have heard though, when the Russians put missles in Cuba, it was a much scarier time to be alive. We are always on the verge of WWIII though. Or maybe it's already started, just not all out yet?

World War III is far from being commenced because the conflicts in the Middle East are only isolated.

I think were close but with iran they seem set on getting nukes...that sucks hopefully it wont happen crazy people. This is why i think the USA has spread itself to thin we try to be everywhere at once, we should worry a little more on the problems and security of our own country.

I believe that certain political interests...neocons...would like to scare us into thinking that.
We are not in WWIII at present, but if we allow the Neocons to control us with fear and lies, we soon will be.
The template and example is that Bush lied and our soldiers died in a war that never needed to be fought in Iraq. I speak as a proud vet who loves his country and supports our efforts in Afghanistan.
