Okay, so I just asked this for seeing if people actually watch animes that are not on TV and are not that well known... Well, what are some animes you watch that no one knows?

Well, Im only thinking of one since my brain isnt working well right now...

Ichigo 100%: You should read the manga, The anime is not that good, since there should be more than 15+ episodes, and then there is 167 chapters...

This is the only one I know of...

Well, put up some Animes that are not that popular, and are still trapped in Japan, waiting to come up to America, even though it wont be so good...

So now, Lets help the loser animes come out of their dust, and make them come into fame, like Naruto, Bleach, and others...

POST UP SOME FORGGOTTEN ANIMES, AND THEN WE WILLL ALL UNITE TOGETHER AND WATCH THEM ALL!!! TO MAKE THEM MORE POPULAR WOOT!!!

Dattebayo!!!!!

Off Topic Answer Thing: Watch the 007 Vegita Final Conflict AMV on YouTube...

Like these? most of these (lucky star,sayonara zetsubou sensei) came out this year in japan ^^

xxxHolic~ mystery, horror,psychological
Kimihiro Watanuki is a young boy with a cursed gift. He has the ability to see evil spirits, and somehow they seem attracted to himself. One day he meets a misterious woman who names herself Yuuko. She claims to have the means to end his torment, but she never works for free, and she wouldn't help him until he works for her enough to pay for her services. Thus he starts to work in her shop and discovers that in that place, nothing is what it seems.

Ergo Proxy~ futuristic
In a world where humans and androids, known as autoraves, live in relative peace, there exists a domed city named "Romdeau". Under the implementation of complete management control, it is a paradise where feelings are literally discarded, and the governing council dictates the way of life the citizens should live. But this utopian landscape is soon broken by a series of mystifying murders. Real Mayar, a female inspector from the Citizen Information Bureau, along with her autoreiv partner Iggy, are tasked to solve the murder cases. She is soon attacked by a creature drawn to her which is neither human nor android, and learns about the mysterious phenomena called "Awakening", an event which draws her further into the case...and to the world beyond the limits of Romdeau.

Monster~ horror
Dr. Tenma is a Japanese man working in Germany. He has it all, incredible medical skill, a great job, a beautiful fiancee. He becomes disillusioned with the hospital politics though, when one day he's ordered to forgo operating on a critically injured man in favor of someone who was more famous. After this point, he decides he will do what he thinks is right, regardless of politics.

One day, a young boy and his younger sister were brought in. The boy had a bullet in his head, an operation that the doctor knows only he is capable of completing successfully. But soon after a politician was brought to the hospital and the high ups in the hospital want Dr. Tenma to leave the boy to operate on the politician. Dr. Tenma decides that he'll do what's right and save the young boy's life.

The young boy's operation was a success, but the surgeons operating on the politician fail, prompting his life to fall apart. Dr. Tenma is passed over for a promotion and his fiancee becomes cold to him and eventually leaves him.

But soon after, strange murders begin to occur, ones that benefit Dr. Tenma greatly and though he becomes the #1 suspect, they have no evidence against him. But it seems that the boy whose life he saved has a hand in things, and that he is much more than he seems...

Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei~ very good one, a satire with alot of references to pop culture ^^
Itoshiki Nozomu is the world's most negative person. To his way of thinking, there is no hope or meaning in this existence. Even the three kanji of his name become the two-kanji word zetsubou, "despair", when compressed.

What an ironic twist of fate, then, that he becomes teacher to a class containing his precise opposite, the invincibly positive-minded Fuura Kafuka.

Lucky Star~ random but funny
Portrays the lives of several school girls attending a Japanese high school with a very loose humor tone. The main heroine is Konata Izumi, an athletic and intelligent girl who, despite these attributes, is not in a sports club, and her grades remain low. Her laziness at school is due to her love for anime and video games, and is not interested in much else. The serialization began with the four main characters in their first year of high school: Konata Izumi, Kagami Hiiragi, Tsukasa Hiiragi, and Miyuki Takara. As the story progresses, they move onto their second and third year.

FLCL~ very random but in a good way, slightly confusing though ^^
Naota is a normal Japanese 6th grade boy (although a little cynical), but when his older brother leaves for America to play baseball, his brother leaves his homeless 17 year old girlfriend Mamimi behind. Mamimi is sending mixed signals and advances to Naota, and he doesn't know what to do about her. But to make matters worse, Naota's world is totally turned upside down when he is run over by a woman on a Vespa. During their first encounter, she hits him over the head with her guitar, which then causes a horn to grow out of his forehead. She calls herself "Haruko" and her presence changes Naota's life to even further insanity.

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
Not long after the entrance of the school, Suzumiya Haruhi introduced herself in a strange way.

“I’m not interested in ordinary people. If you came from outer space, or from the future, or you have a supernatural power, come to my place”

The classmates wondered whether she was serious or just kidding, but the rumor had spread over the school less than a month, and she became famous among all the students.

Kodomo no Jikan
Kodomo no Jikan's story revolves around a male twenty-three year old grade school teacher named Daisuke Aoki employed at Futatsubashi Elementary School (双ツ橋小学校, Futatsubashi Shōgakkō?). Daisuke is in charge of class 3-1, and one of his students, a mischievous young girl named Rin Kokonoe, has developed a crush on him, and has gone so far as to proclaim herself Daisuke's girlfriend. Rin continues her efforts to be with her teacher despite the fact that he will lose his job if she gets too close.

^ it's too censored unlike the manga but it's still good

School days~ ecchi but a gory, twisted ending
Makoto Ito rides the train to and from school every day. However, at the beginning of his second term, he falls in love with a beautiful girl that also rides the train. Unfortunately, she barely knows of his existence. Her name is Kotonoha Katsura, and though they attend the same school, they are not in the same class. In an attempt to catch her eye, Makoto enlists the aid of a close female friend of his: Sekai Saionji. She helps him, despite the fact that she--unbeknownst to Makoto--is in love with him. Thus the three are bound in a love triangle of life changing proportions.
This history tells a boy called Makoto Ito who in his first day of the secondary one is with a beautiful girl called Kotonoha Katsura who is in a class different from the one from Makoto by this he requests aid to him to a classmate called Sekai Saionji to manage to know Kotonoha, but Sekai hides a feeling very hard towards Makoto this causes a loving triangle. (aka: makoto's a manwhore ;p )

^ very good one but it's twisted and it seems how some ppl react in real life :/

I don't know about forgotten and never heard of... But I suppose some new (?) and not too well-known yet (although I can't be too sure) ones are:

Utakata, I think it sounds interesting, I've only watched a couple of episodes though. About a girl who gets given a cellphone strap which lets her harness the power of Djinnis but which is also very dangerous, I think. ^^

Hayate the Combat Butler (or Hayate no Gotoku!) I've also only seen a few episodes of this, it's got such cute animation. It's about a boy, Hayate, who's parents sell him to a Yakuza gang for the value of his organs to pay off a debt, and he tries to kidnap a rich girl to pay off the debt himself, this fails and he ends up as her butler. It's very cute. ^^ Also Santa seems to be evil.

Hmm, a manga I know isn't really trapped in Japan, and it's very good, and apparently it's popular too, but I haven't found all that much stuff about it on the internet... And an anime hasen't been made of it, I loved it all the same. It's called +Anima, it's about people who can get the powers of certain animals, and these people are called +Anima, but treated as freaks and sometimes even as slaves and it's about a small group of +Anima who are looking for somewhere to settle down safely, and their adventures on the way. (and no, it isn't as bad as I make it sound, I'm just horrible at describing it...)

Well, sorry I couldn't do much better, hope you're satisfied with this (although I won't blame you if you aren't) And I hope you find what you're looking for! ^^

Depends on your view of 'old and forgotten'

I liked the anime 'Hajime no Ippo' even though it was a little predictable, still a great anime.

I like the Claymore manga and anime, the manga is better but the anime is still worth it to watch!

Same with D'Gray Man, except the manga and the anime are both equally great!

Kurohime is a great manga, ecchi but I still laugh and enjoy it.

Another manga is Pretty Face, also ecchi but hilarious

Goshuushou-sama Ninomiya-kun is an awesome anime, ecchi and silly and sweet and fun (wow, I seem to like lots of ecchi stuff.... )

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagan is a great adventure manga/anime

Myself Yourself is an awesome suspense anime

Trigun Maximum was a great manga, even though it might not be forgotten, its unknown as it differs from the anime about half-way through

The Fullmetal Alchemist manga is a great read, not forgotten or old but its much better than the anime!

Haha I'm a real anime "nerd" so I know or at least have heard of most the "forgotten" anime. It's annoying how everyone who has never seen anime outside Naruto and Dragonball think that anime is childish because it's aimed at little kiddies with all the merchandise, no matter how many times I tell them that not all anime is like that....only the few that have been majorly censored to show on TV for kids. Go uncensored sub versions!

A few I can think of that I like and aren't too big...not so much hype over them:
~ Himikoden
~ Air
~ Yumeria
~ Marmalade Boy
~ Boys Over Flowers (Hana Yori Dango) -Manga is much better
~ Honey and Clover
~ School Rumble
~ R.O.D (Read Or Die)
~ Aishiteruze Baby
~ Boys Be...
~ Love Hina (Used to ba a lot of hype about this...but it's died down a lot)
~ Rozen Maiden
~ Moon Phase (It's getting sorta big over here)
~ I My Me! Strawberry Eggs
~ Maison Ikkoku -Manga is better
~ Kamisama Kazoku

Manga/Manhwa only:
* Love for Venus
* Othello
* Faeries' Landing
* Honey Mustard
* Can't Lose You
* W Juliet
* Girl Got Game
* Chocolat

Yesh yesh, I'm a bit of a shoujo and romance fan... ^__^

Manga: 3x3 eyes. This probably is one of the best mangas I read so far and started back in 1987. It has been picked up by Dark Horse entertainment but dropped due to low support and only 5 volumes were translated. It has been finished in 2002 with 40 volumes.
Story: Yakumo is a regular HS student with no future in his life. He is suddenly visited by a mysterious girl named Pai with a note of his deceased father telling him she is a Sanjiyan Unkara, legendary immortal beings that have the secret to eternal life. With a number of bizarre incidents, Yakumo is hit by a truck and before dying, Pai eats his soul and making Yakumo her servant zombie. The only way to become a regular human again is for Pai to become a human! Thus starts a great story about demons, folklore and action just for their quest to become humans.

Anime: Slayers. Almost no one of the new generation of anime fans has heard of this gem, also spanning 3 seasons. Shame on everyone for never hearing the great name of Lina Inverse, whose name makes dragons shiver in fear.
This anime is a must see just because of its wacky ensemble of characters that will save the world or destroy it depending on who hired them first: the heroin being a selfish sorceress that will steal from you or feed you to the dragon just to save her hide, the dumb swordfighter who has no clue of "time of the month" means, the clumsy magician that fights evil for justice (which is often wrong), the demon that could destroy the world if he wishes but he is only tagging with you to make your life miserable and often providing the wrong information.
If anyone is interested, Slayers is for the introduction of characters, Slayers Next is for the laughs and Slayers Try is for the plot.

Scrapped Princess. No one knows this anime. I mean its short like death note but its really good. It's about Pacifica who is the "poison to the world" and is destined to destroy it and is trying to be killed. It's really cool.

The manga and the anime are two different things. But they have the same plot of her being the poison and her, her brother Shannon and her sister Raquel.
