I just got a new ipod nano 4GB and i have itunes it says i have to get the latest version..so i tried and it says

the installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package this may indicate a problem with this package the error code is 2738"
then it says it requires quicktime..but i have quicktime
i dont understand
how do i put songs on my ipod?
what do i do

try re-downloading and installing iTunes.
then try again.

You can try this make sure your downloading itunes offcially from apple.com

if your using vista make sure you right click on the files once downloaded and click install as administrator. if not for xp should be straight forward if you google, it apple error code 2738 you willl find apple discussion boards which can be very helpful.

do a fresh install. uninstall quicktime and start from the beginnning.

make sure you have the latest version of quicktime.
