ha! My birthday was today, and I just turned 20...the irony. It feels like I'm not a teenager anymore, but not old enough to drink, so...it's a weird age.

It's the same as 19 feels... and the same as 21. When you're 20 you have responsibilities... I mean I guess that's the main thing, if you're a younger teen and don't have to do anything for yourself it might seem cool... and in a way it is, but it gradually fits into your lifestyle.

I turned 21 in October. I don't feel any different now than I did then... I mean just because I'm a certain age doesn't mean my views are going to change drastically. I didn't hit 21 and say "holy smokes I can drink!"

Being 20 for me was a lot of fun. I enjoy all the stages of my life and but 20 was the year I explored life without mommy and daddy with me every step of the way. I learned how strong I was my 20th year of life.

20 was cool. I am only 22 now but anything in the 20s makes you feel more powerful for some reason.

well, you're old enough to do whatever you want, except drink... (legally) and if you really want to gamble, you're going to have to drive far out to an indian casino instead of just going somewhere nearby. you're tired of being an adult with adult responsibilities and you can't even walk into a bar and have a seat to make your day just a little better.
on the plus side, you're young. you're in between the years when you have acne and the years when you have wrinkles, so that's always a plus. you can still eat whatever you want and not gain weight.. which wont happen if you're older... and you can work out and gain muscle mass quickly... which wont happen if you're younger.
you're in between being a "kid" and an "adult" to your parents, so you can always swing one way or the other.. whichever benefits you more..

I felt like a non-person at 20-no longer a teen and too young to vote

Way back when...
I was basically a full-grown kid who had naive notions about the world and an eagerness to "discover" life, boundless energy and a sense of being immortal. Death was what happens to other people.

Now, in retrospect, I had a lot more growing up to do, both mentally and physically.

It's like being half of 40, a third of 60, a fourth of 80 and a fifth of being 100 and dead.
