I'D SAY IN 1840,NANTUCKETT WAS A BIG WHALING PORT AND THE JOBS ATTRACTED PEOPLE TO INCREASE! IN 1990,MIDDLESEX, I WOULD GUESS ALL THE FACTORY OR MILLS,JOBS MOVED TO ASIA,LIKE CHINA OR TAIWAN,SO THE POPULATION WOULD NATURALLY DO DOWN!! THAT'S MY HIPOTHOSIS!!GOOD LUCK*
