Does I-Phone have an equivalent of Windows programs like Word or Excel?

No. You can look at Word files, but you cannot edit them. You wouldn't want to anyway, the keyboard is awful.

I haven't checked excel files, but I know you cannot look at powerpoint files and have to convert everything to a .pdf to get it to work on the phone.

no programs for the phone yet. but you can view word and excel sheets in the current form they are in through email.
