Why us Americans call our children "honey", "pumpkin", "sweetie pie", etc???
Well, same thing. A term of endearment...
-(At least Hispanic people do not called them "Pumpkin Pie"... That'll be way weird for them..! See? It's just a matter of the culture where we come from... There's a huuuuge world out there... With their own customs and cultures.
AND: No, "Mama" doen't mean "Grandmother", no. It means "Mom". Grandmother in Spanish is: "Abuela" or "Abuelita"...)-
