Do the people or the government of Malawi in South Africa have an attitude toward buying American products?

I am researching Malawi, which is located in South Africa. I am researching the African market to see if it would be profitable to export solar refrigeration units. The people of Malawi are poor and in dyer need of a place to store the food they need in order to survive. I need to address the following topics: Basic need potential, Import restrictions, Price controls, and government and public attitude toward buying American products. Another option is to export soil conditioners.
