Yes, assisted my husband, built one for our young daughter many years ago. He cut, sanded and glued. I went to stores and got wall paper and carpet samples and drew original little pictures for the walls. She still has the doll furniture and the little metal red dishes but I don't recall what became of that doll house.

I've seen some wonderful miniature settings from films, history, or just random daily situations not normally seen in a dollhouse, using dollhouse stuff. With the right angles and camera settings, a nice arrangement makes for interesting images. You can go all Katy Perry and make clothes with miniatures stuck all over a dress. Or a hat.
