What the frak was that?! I blame Ponikarovsky and the officiating. Ponikarovsky doesn't even bother throwing the puck in the general vicinity of the empty net at the final minute! What was he on?
And what game were the refs watching? Ponikarovsky was tripped and he then goes and does a retalitory holding....and HE gets the penalty! If you're going to call the phantom lovetaps game in and game out, call the one on Sundin! Antropov actually did a trip or hold, but, again, if you're going to make the calls, make them consistently!! I hope the Leafs file a protest to the league on that because it was frakking ridiculous.
Bob, the difference is, the way Crosby whines, it looks like he deserves NOT to be called. The accidental high-stick on DiPeitro annoyed me the most recently. Damn near takes out some guy's eye and the very first thing he does is bit'ch about how it wasn't his fault and how he shouldn't get the penalty. I don't know if you've seen the highlights of the Leafs/Canes game yet and dyslexia may have come out to play (tends to do that when I'm pissed) so I'll explain it to you in another way:
Ponikarovsky gets tripped up, no call.
Ponikarvosky takes same 'Canes player down, call.
Sundin receives one of those lovetap, free-hand holds, no call.
Antropov takes 'Canes player down, call.
Can you see how that may seem biased officiating to you?

It's Poni's fault, sheer accident, but he's to blame.
he didnt shoot at the open net, and then he gets tripped, no call, and in retaliation he trips someone, and there is the call.
You dont retaliate like that.

Well, Alexander, thought that maybe if he goofed around he'd waste sometime...and get some time off the clock, but he didnt see the guy coming from behind to take the puck off of him, when he went to flick er in, thats when...bang, stolen away and boom...in the net.

No lead is as unsafe or tenuous as a two goal lead. True again. You got to get that third goal or the sky will fall (especially if you wear Blue and White).
