I am from the ____ (cherry tree, grass, hammock, etc) in my backyard.
I am from the smell of _____ cooking in the kitchen.
I am from memories of _____.
I am from playing _____with my ______(brother sister etc).

Are those good? I would be able to help more if you gave some more criteria...

OMG! My English Class did this at the beginning of the school year. It was one of my favorite writing assignments.

No, I will not give you examples. That's the whole point of the poem. Brainstorm things form your childhood (ex., tv shows, foods, phrases that your parents or siblings used, friends, names of pets, best friend from kindergarten, the name of a daycare center you went to, names of schools you've been to, etc.)

Write the ideas you have on a piece of paper. The order doesn't matter. Just write it down. Pick your favorites and the ones that are most meaningful. Also, the ones that would sound pretty together.

I hope I helped you.

PS- my poem was pretty good. I got an A.

I am from the gleam in my father's eye.
My Mom was bright, sweet and not too shy.
I got this way because I am me,
My sister's that way, because she is she.
If this continues just like this,
You will know all I know:
That, ignorance is bliss.

I am from America. Land of the free.
Where we're supposed to be free
To be whatever we want to be.
To go wherever we want to go.
To know whatever we want to know.
To do what we reasonably want to do.
I'm from where I should be me;
and you should be you.
