Forever, yeah it can be kinda sad but it is a reminder and an act of worship, we just need to remember that.
maram, yes, everyone!
I LOVE roasted lamb, that's what I grew up with but steamed lamb is good too and now it has become an eid tradition for me.
Thanks for posting the verses MoRmEx, you saved me some time.
Sarah, that's better, let it cook some place else!
Terry, I WISH out lamb lasted two weeks. I guess when everyone is celebrating t does though. MOUBROUK LEID everybody!

I've never had steamed lamb, but found out I love mutton. I had lamb chops several years ago and hated them, but while I was in Morocco I had gamilla and tagines with lamb and potatoes and lamb and green beans and it was one of the best meals I have ever eaten. Now the problem is that where I live it's difficult to find it.

Yes but I prefer it cooked in a neighborhood oven (1/4 or 1/2 of the lamb at a time).

Honestly I am not a fan of steamed lamb...cooked on a grill is the best, especially when eaten outdoors in good weather :)

Not really. I prefer it cooked on an open fire, freshly cut from the lamb. MMMM So tender and yummy! After 2 weeks though, I don't care HOW you cook it, I don't want it! LOL

Eww! no! Poor little lamb... Although other people DO like steamed lamb, I mean, I'm not insulting the other people, but lamb just isn't my choice. =[

I don't eat lamb, for no reason really. I'm not a big meat or chicken eater.

Absolutely Not. I find slaughtering innocent animals in the name of God Abominable. "But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat, and surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it." Gen 9: 4-5 and
To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto Me? Saith the Lord: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts and I delight no in the blood of bulls, cows or of lambs or of goats. When ye spread forth your hands, I will hide Mine eyes from you: yea when ye make many prayers I will not hear, for your hands are full of blood." Isaiah 1:11, 15
"He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man." Isaiah 66:3
