Is it just me or is the defense for the flyers not so good this year? They are allowing way too many shots.

You should say a small prayer for the fortune that brought the Flyers Biron. If Nittymaki was their number one guy I think they would be exactly the same club they were last year for the first 50 games, which is terrible.
You can't keep being outshot every night and not lose games. Something has to change if this club is to go past the first round. They've made some pretty good progress, now they have to get those shots down.
Since I haven't seen many Flyers games, I can't tell you what's wrong but they need to do something before Biron sues the rest of them for nonsupport.

Giving up a lot of shots doesn't make a defense bad. I like Philly's defense. I think they need more experience working together to become more in tune with one another. If they were giving up glorious chances, I'd be concerned, but in the few games I've watched,

Just be lucky their not playing the Hawks this year!

Yeah, I agree that they are giving up way too many shots but having watched the bulk of their games this year, it is a little decieving because it seems they are not getting out chanced by as much as a margin as they are getting outshot.

I think Holmgren agreed with your issue. Tonight they traded Ben Eager to Chicago for defenseman Jim Vandermeer.
