According to news sources, the coroner assumed it was death by drowning because her hair was wet and her fingers wrinkled. Yet there was no water in the tub. Wouldn't that have raised suspicions?
And she had left letters with her sister, just in case something happened to her.
So didn't her family ask for an autopsy?
She was going through a divorce with Drew, she was fighting to get half of his pension, there had been 18 domestic calls on record, why wasn't this invesigated as a possible homicide at the time?
New evidence has come out (if you believe in Mark Fuhrman, I have my doubts about him) that says Stacey caught Drew literally red handed on the night of the murder. Her and Kathleen had had their own hair pulling fights so Stacey was probably not mourning Kathleen's death but what on earth would possess someone to stay with a killer and have 2 children with him?
Drew had to be close to 56 when their last child was born. Isn't that kind of old to become a dad again?

The Coroner also went by what was reported to him by the police. And by all means that was a shoddy investigation probably because Drew was a fellow cop. If the responder cops were suspicious or just lax in performing their jobs, I don't know. But after all the domestic problems in their relationship, I'd say the Police Dept. dropped the ball on this one. However, the Savio family should have demanded another autopsy.

I have a friend who married a guy...same exact age difference....she had a very rocky childhood, lost a parent, witnessed her own brother's drug crazed suicide. The older husband was very controlling. She got out of the relationship before things got bad...only after a year.
I am 41, and am pregnant with baby #2. If I could physically handle it, I would have kids until the day I die.
However, Drew's stepdaughter from wife #2 says he was very extreme in his abuse...hitting her repeatedly with a belt.
It's my guess that he really could have cared less whether his wives had kids. Child-bearing made them less attractive to him, and he went elsewhere to look for other women. He left the child rearing to his wives.
I'd love to be a gnat on the wall in his house to see how he takes care of those kids now, and what they TALK about.
I picture a group of good ole boys, standing around burping and far****, not really caring whether they get all the facts or not...just another woman making trouble. They turned their backs and pretended like nothing happened in Bolingbrook.
I don't care if the new chief of police wasn't there when K.S. died. I am sure some of those officers are STILL working there. I truly hope that they find out who was involved in covering up, or IGNORING, or even participating the crime.
I expect some officers to be fired over all this.
I am listening to what Mark F. says. I believe he is on to something. I am personally sick of hearing about Brodsky. If he was truthful, he would hurt his client, so I change the channel every time Brodsky opens his mouth on TV.

Being a police officer Drew Peterson was well protected. There is a "code of silence" with law enforcement. Do I believe Drew killed Kathleen Savio and Stacy? Yes I do. do I think they will ever be able to prove it? Probably not, he has friends in high places that can bury evidence and leave doubts;

You would think the family would have asked for an autopsy. I bet because he was a cop that had something to do with it.
He was too old for new babies. Stacey was 23? that's like marrying your dad, yuck!

Have to agree with maa and Lettie. They didn't drop the ball they didn't investigate. No telling what he told them and you would wonder why the family did not ask for one. Got no reason to doubt Mark would lie.
Why you say, he is a control freak and she got caught in ti. Simple. Take care.
