Sean taylor died because his house was broken into it was not his fault at all you cannot speak for someone whom you do not even know He was a wonderful person and after he had his daughter he was maturing how can u speak badly of the dead? his death was not his fault some heartless teenagers broke into his home tto steal from him because of thier greed you cannot blame him. He died protecting is fiance and his child. He heard a noise and told them to go to the other room and he was shot before he could grab his weapon which he keeps for protection, Sean Tyalor was not a criminal and did not get into trouble until he got into the NFL He was a good young man and ppl like you are giving him a bad name. Sean died defending his family and the reason tillman did not make the pro bol because he was not a "pro bowl type player" Sean taylor was one of the best safties in the NFL even before he died just cuz UUU dont know he he was doesnt mean he wasnt a great player nor does it mean he wasnt a good person. He was the leading vote getter for the pro bowl even before he was killed because real football fans realized his skills and abilities unlike u. What a horrible person you are making a mockery og his life and of his death. That was not cute nor was it funny. Only God can judge you but I hope he takes a good look....

and to all of you whom do NOT know Sean Taylor was NOT a thug it just shows that you watch too much sport Center and did not know him at all. He did make some wrong decesions in life but who did not? Who are you to judge? Clean out your own closet before you try to clean out someone elses whom did not invite you

I'd like to also point out that Taylor is not the only NFL player to have died this year, he just happened to get the most attention. It was tragic what happened, but sometimes we can go overboard.

Natalie Holloway for instance. White girl missing in Aruba. 2 years later we still have lots of media coverage of it. In the time since she's disappeared, how many others have been murdered/disappeared and have received little or no attention? The media really goes to far sometimes.

Honor Taylor, but don't select someone as a 'substitute' for him. How would you like to be selected on a technicality because a deceased person was elected? It diminishes what that player might have accomplished. I think it's the wrong way.

Sean Taylor is tied for 2nd in the NFC for INTs. He earned the Pro Bowl slot based on his merits, not because he's dead. Pat Tillman wasn't even in the NFL when he died. Last I checked you can't vote someone to the Pro Bowl when they weren't even in the league and they don't accrue ANY stats that year.

And this is coming from a veteran.

Because Pat Tillman chose to leave the NFL to serve our country. He was not an active player anymore, therefore could not have been selected to a Pro Bowl.

Pro Bowl is for the best players of that year. Taylor was one of the best at his position, that's why he got elected this year.

well sean taylor would have made the pro bowl either way he is one of the best safeties in the league pat tillman wasnt near the athlete sean taylor was but off the field people remember pat for his heroics not for his football skills

Did you forget that Sean was alive and playing football. He already had votes. The players are voted in by the fans, players and coachs. If Sean where still here, Washington would have three players in the pro bowl.

Tillman was not playing and didn't have any votes. He was "in country" remember.

Both are terribly tragic!

Pat chose to leave the NFL to join the service so he can't be put on the ballot. Sean was cut down while he was still active.
