I am making some ornaments this year with the clear glass balls. I want to put glitter on the inside and I would like it to stick all over on the inside. What kind of glue do I use for that? Spray glue sounds to messy...any ideas? I don't want it to all clump in the same spot either. Thanks!

omg i love making those! i made a bunch for my firends for christmas!

unfortunately i don't know what type of glue to use. sorry.

BUT

i usually use arcyrlic paints ( i pour them in side then shake!)( all diff colors - sometimes 1 color,2,3....)

sometimes though ADD glitter to the paints( like i have this one red paint that i added gold glitter in and its my fav ornament right now)

and sometimes if u just stuff tinsel inside them they can look really pretty.

once i got one with a white feather in it. thats it. just a feather. its really cool

well sorry i couldn't help you out on the glue, but hopefully i gave u some new ideas! have fun!

Merry Christmas!!!!!

You should be able to use a "white glue" like Elmers GlueAll, pprobably thinning it down first... it will dry clear.

You could also probably use a clear "acrylic finish" for bare wood like a polyurethane from the hardware store, or you could even use a textile medium from the craft store...the finishes and most of the acrylic mediums dry clear.

Mix the glitter into the liquid and then do just as you would with acrylic paint (which is related to the other materials).
I think doing that might be safer than adding the glitter after swirling the clear stuff because the liquid will continue to move downard as its drying over the next 12-14 hrs. (toward the open neck of the glass ball if you have the ball upside down to drain), and you might end up with uneven coverage of the glitter.

I haven't done this though, but I'm sure others have and you could probably find more on the web about it.

I don't think you will find a medium that's absolutely clear because even a clear one will be streaky. I agree that it's better to use color and then incorporate the glitter into your color.
