I realize every doctor is different but generally when do you start checking your cervix to see if you are dialated.

I have been checked at earlier weeks but just because I was having pain.

I want to know when start checking at every visit.

It depends on your doctor. Usually around 32-36 weeks. Too many checks can introduce infection and disappoint you if you're not making much progress (which doesn't mean anything anyway) or excite you when you seem to make a lot. But a woman can be walking around with 0cm and 0% effacement and go into labor and have her baby only a few short hours later. Another woman can walk around at 4cm, 100% effacement for weeks before she goes into labor.

At 36 weeks for me (this previous Friday) after I got my group b strep test, I had told her how I lost my mucus plug the night before then she checked. 3cm 60% effacedt and +1 almost +2 station. I know some places wont check until your in actual labor so you may want to tell your doctor you wanna be checked. Goodluck and congrats

My doctor didn't check at a pr-determined point. I went once a month for well checks and then at 8 months they had me come in every 2 weeks. I think no one checked till I said I felt crampy - sure enough 2 cents - then checked every week after that till delivery week. ( stayed at 2 btw for 24 days!)
